Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Victoria, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a multi-residential development; and for the construction of a 57,953-square-foot, six-story above grade, 259-unit multi-residential development.

The 1800 McKenzie Project is a proposed redevelopment of approximately 8,397.58 m2 (90,392 sf) site expands at 1821 & 1827 McKenzie Avenue, Saanich, BC, which is owned by CRD and operated by the CRHC. The existing development at 1821 McKenzie Avenue consists of 15 townhouse units, including two 3-storey townhouse building with surface parking stalls and 15 ground-level garages, 1827 McKenzie Avenue consist of a total of 44 units within a three-storey apartment building. Through the redevelopment, all the existing structures and parking areas on site will be demolished. The proposed redevelopment will provide approximately 259 units of affordable rental housing on the consolidated site. The Project is comprised of three(3) six(6) storey wood frame buildings located at the north, west and south ends of the consolidated site, converging around a central courtyard. All the buildings are constructed above a common reinforced concrete underground parkade, with a total gross floor area of approximately 5384 m2 (57,952.89 sf). The common underground concrete parking garage provides a total of approximately 148 parking stalls, in addition to 5 surface parking spaces at grade level.
