As of November 21, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on November 25, 2025. This project consists of the following major items of work on North State Street Reconstruction Phase II (Wells St. to Ogden Ave.) in Geneseo, Illinois: A) Installation and utility connection of sanitary sewer, storm sewer and water main on North State St. B) Removal and/or abandonment of existing storm sewer, sanitary sewer and water main on North State St. following the installation of proposed utilities. C) Removal of the existing North State St. roadway and installation of proposed North State St. roadway according to plans. D) Provide and maintain safe traffic control (Road Closure) as necessary throughout the duration of the project. To obtain bidding document General Contractor must submit current Certificate of Eligibility from the IL DOT and a list of 3 similar projects in scope and size as a General Contractor for the qualified categories of Earthwork, Drainage & PCC Paving/Concrete Construction for work efforts included in these categories as defined by IL DOT under Rules for Prequalification of Contractors, Authorization to Bid, and Subcontractor Registrations page 32. General Contractor must submit detailed information on 3 similar projects detailing the work efforts completed under the items listed above and give overall quantity in each that was completed. General Contractor shall supply contact information for each similar project submitted with Owner Name, Email and/or Phone Number to contact for reference. The City reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to withhold bid documents from any general contractor whose prequalification documentation is deemed insufficient or unsatisfactory. This will be review by Geneseo for me to be able to give you the proposal documents. All bids must be submitted on these forms and returned in a sealed envelope marked with the item bid. The most current general prevailing wage rates for Henry County shall be paid for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract. Local funded project with all material U.S. made in accordance with IL DOT, Water and Sewer Construction in Illinois or Special Provisions unless variance approved by the City. The City Council reserves the right to reject any bids and to waive technicalities or irregularities.
