The City of Torrington, Connecticut WPCA, through the Office of the City’s Purchasing Agent, will accept sealed bids for one (1) Dry Pit Submersible Non-Clog Centrifugal Pump per Division 11 for Harris Drive Pump Station in accordance with the provided specifications and requirements. Vendors must supply manufacturer specifications of the Dry-pit submersible pump with the bid. The supplied pump must be new—used or open box items will not be accepted. One original and two exact copies of the bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked as instructed. Bids received after the deadline will be rejected and returned unopened. No fax or e-mail bids will be accepted. All bid submissions and materials become property of the City and will not be returned. Vendors are responsible for checking for addendum/updates 48 hours prior to bid opening. The City reserves the right to award or reject any or all bids or any portion thereof, to waive technicalities, to award the contract to a bidder other than the lowest bid, and to award the bid/contracts to one or more bidders submitting essentially identical proposals as deemed in the city’s judgment to best serve the public interest. MBE’S, WBE’S, and SBE’S are encouraged to apply.
