The project consists of remodeling the existing 174,000 square foot Highlander Way Middle School building, including demolition through the middle of the two-story building to construct an open clearstory in the middle of the building. Labor, materials, equipment, and all other services necessary for completion of the remodeling are required. Instructions to bidders: - Bids may be submitted electronically via Precon Suite or as hard copy sealed bids. Use the appropriate proposal forms provided by the construction manager. - Hard copy bids must be sealed, completed in full, and submitted in an opaque envelope identifying the company, project name, and proposal. - Bids must be submitted by 12:00 PM (EST), Thursday, December 4th, 2025. The Board of Education will not accept late bids. - Bids over $31,321 must include a certified cashiers check or U.S. treasury listed security bond of 5% of the bid amount. Scanned copies are not accepted; checks must be delivered before the deadline and made payable to Howell Public Schools. - Proposals must remain firm for ninety (90) days. - Each bid must include a notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship between the bidder's owner or employees and any member of the Board of Education, or Superintendent. - Additional required documents: sworn and notarized statement for Iran Economic Sanctions Act Affidavit of Compliance and Equal Opportunity Statement. - Bids not accompanied by these documents may not be accepted. - Successful bidders with proposals of $50,000 or more must provide a satisfactory performance and payment bond equal to 100% of their bid, with the bond cost included in the proposal. - The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality.
