LAWRENCE PARK # 9, BLK 0031, S IRREG 280.46FT OF 1 & W 15FT OF S SECT 39 B S & F BLK 0009, Greenways The City of Amarillo will be accepting sealed electronic responses for Bid No. RFP 201-26 for a Construction Manager at Risk for drainage projects for Playa 6 & 7. Question Deadline 11/24/2025 at 5:00 PM CT Online Portal It is the intention of this project to include the following scopes of work to include the construction of the new lift stations and the forced mains for Playa 6 and Playa 7 for the city of Amarillo. The CMAR awarded this contract would work with the City's ODR as well as the two engineering firms, Freese & Nichols Engineering and Half Engineering, to control pricing through collaboration with the parties involved. It will be the goal of all parties involved to reach all construction timelines and stay within the approved GMP which will be established at 60% design. BACKGROUND AND SPECIAL CONCERNS The City of Amarillo is seeking a Construction Manager at Risk using the one-step process authorized by Section 271.118 of the Texas Local Government Code. Under this process, the Owner issues a Request for Proposals ("RFP") inviting potential general contractors to submit a proposal which includes information on past performance, safety record, proposed personnel and methodology as well as proposed fees and prices for fulfilling the General Conditions detailed in this Request for Proposals for performing the described work. As specifically used in this RFP, the terms below have the meanings set forth below "Contractor" means a sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, or other legal entity that assumes the risk for the Construction of the NEW LIFT STATIONS and FORSED MAINS at Playa 6 and Playa 7 at the contracted price. "Construction Manager at Risk Contract" means a single contract with a Construction Manager at Risk firm for the Construction of the NEW LIFT STATIONS and FORSED MAINS at Playa 6 and Playa 7 in the City of Amarillo, Texas. "Construction Manager at Risk" ("CMAR") means a sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, or other legal entity that assumes the risk for construction, rehabilitation, alteration, or repair of a facility at the contracted price as a general contractor and provides consultation to the governmental entity regarding construction during and after the design of the facility. "Offeror" means offeror responding to this RFP.
