The City of West Palm Beach is accepting bids from qualified and responsible contractors to provide all materials, permits, equipment, tools, labor and incidentals necessary to furnish and install Aboveground Diesel Storage Tank. The City of West Palm Beach ("City") is soliciting bids from responsible, licensed, qualified and experienced contractors, to remove and properly dispose of the existing 1,000-gallon diesel aboveground storage tank; furnish and install a new 2000-gallon aboveground cylindrical diesel storage tank and remove the existing concrete slab and; install a new concrete slab that meets the requirements for the 2000-gallon storage tank. This is a one-time project offered at a fixed price, and the City intends to contract with a single supplier. M/WBE's are encouraged to participate in the bid process. Bidders shall submit one (1) original, one (1) electronic version via flash drive and one (1) copy of the Bid in a sealed envelope marked in the lower left-hand corner with the Bidder's Company Name, ITB number, ITB title, bid submittal deadline date. GENERAL Contractor shall have the capability to perform and complete the services professionally, by industry and safety standards, and meet the requirements of all applicable Local, State, Federal, and safety regulations. Additionally, services shall be in accordance with the terms, provisions of the solicitation documents and the contract. The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment, tools, supplies, costs and incidentals necessary for the performance of the services which shall be provided in a good, firm, substantial and workmanlike manner. Services shall meet the requirement of Florida Administrative Code Section 62-555.350(2); meet the fuel storage tank standards UL-142 & UL-2085, and comply with Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for storage tanks. Unless otherwise specified, all materials used shall be new and both workmanship and materials shall be of good quality. Services shall be provided in accordance with all applicable codes and standards, including Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA), American Concrete Institute (ACI) and standard pre-stressed concrete tank design. The furnished 2,000-gallon Aboveground Diesel Storage tank shall be a UL2085 Fireguard Tank from any certified manufacturer. The work to be performed under this contract shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment and incidentals and performing all work required to perform the work as specified, including mobilization and demobilization, as required. 1.1 Disconnect, remove and properly dispose of the existing 1000-gallon diesel aboveground storage tank and remove and properly dispose of existing concrete pad and all fuel piping. Removal shall comply with all statutes nd regulations. Conduct precision testing on the existing tank to ensure there is no damage to the diesel fuel to leak into the ground. 1.1.1 Provide either two (2) 500-gallon temporary diesel storage tanks or an on-site 1,000-gallon temporary diesel storage tank, connect fuel and electrical lines to the on-site generator, test all connections and ensure components are in working order. 1.2 Install new concrete pad and increase concrete slab for larger fuel tank. 1.3 Furnish and install a vapor mitigation system by the epoxy manufacturer (DEX-O-TEX-VAPOR CONTROL). 1.4 Replace and install all underground piping, new electrical wiring to generator, and valves that supply Cummins Diesel Generator (DGFC-507959/6CTAA8.3-G3) located inside the fire station. 1.5 Install a new cylindrical two thousand (2,000) gallon, Aboveground Fuel Storage tank for diesel fuel with a commercial fuel pump meter (gallons only) for GPM automatic nozzle assembly. The Aboveground Fuel Storage Tank shall be UL2085 Fireguard Tank from any certified manufacturer. The City will not consider substitutions. 1.6 (a) Furnish and install all necessary components the system, at no additional cost to the City. The components shall include, but not be limited to, vents, valves, risers, and spill containment. (b) Furnish and install automatic tank gauges, software and console screen display, manufactured by Veeder Root, model TLS4. The City will not consider substitutions. . (c) Furnish and install two steps with landing at the end of the tank for filling. (d) Provide fuel dispensers and gallons meter for vehicles with remote mounted access.
