The project consists of work at all three schools in the District, including restroom and office renovations, auditorium seating replacement, partial roof replacement, elevator refurbishment, sitework, and HVAC, plumbing, and electrical upgrades and expansions, as well as other miscellaneous work. The project will proceed under multiple prime contracts for general trades, roofing, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work. Bids must be made in writing on the forms furnished and enclosed in a sealed envelope marked with the name and address of the bidder and the title of the work. A bid security of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid is required. Prospective bidders must obtain bid documents from the designated web portal, www.nyplanroom.com, to be eligible. Only registered plan holders will receive notifications and addenda. Bidders who obtain documents from other sources will not qualify. Refunds for printed bid sets are available if sets are returned in good condition within seven business days from contract award. Detailed bidder qualification requirements include bonding and insurance, financial statements, bank references, relevant legal proceedings, a statement of surety's intent, and a list of completed projects of similar size and scope. A non-collusive bidding certificate must be included in each bid. The owner reserves the right to waive informalities or reject any or all bids and to disqualify bidders for material failure to comply with the instructions.
