Site work for a water / sewer project in Daly City, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

**As of January 15, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The work includes removing and replacing sanitary sewer mains, connecting sewer laterals to the new sanitary sewer main, removing and replacing sanitary sewer manholes, and connecting storm drain fly lines to the new sanitary sewer manholes. All surface improvements impacted by the work shall be restored, including but not limited to the street, sidewalk, curb, gutter, and median per City and District standards. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cash, certified or cashier's check payable to City of Daly City, in an amount not less than 10% of the aggregate bid. A valid Class A license must be in the possession of the successful bidder at the time the bid is submitted. The time limit for the completion of work is one hundred (100) working days. The first day of this time period will be no later than the 28th day after the contract award. In accordance with the California Labor Code, general prevailing hourly rates of per diem wages shall be paid on this project. Copies of applicable prevailing hourly rates of per diem wages are available on request to the City Engineer. Due to the passage of Senate Bill 854, several additions and revisions were made to the California Labor Code. The addition of Labor Code 1725.5 requires all contractors and subcontractors to register with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) to be eligible to work on public works projects. At the time the bid is submitted the Contractor and all subcontractors must be registered with the DIR in accordance with the California Labor Code to be eligible for the project. The project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. Pursuant to the California Public Contract Code, securities may be substituted for money withheld to insure contract performance. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in such bids and, if awarded, to award the contract in the best interest of the City.
