This project involves the renovation and upgrade of existing finishes at Mulligan Manor Apartments, Marshall Manor Apartments, and Belle Vernon Apartments, per schedules included on the Plans and detailed in the Specification. Bids will be received for General Construction. Bidders may examine contract documents, including Plans and Specifications, at the offices of the Fayette County Housing Authority or the Engineer. Contractors may purchase one copy of the documents from the Engineer by submitting a check in the specified amount. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, or bank cashier's check payable to the Fayette County Housing Authority in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount. All prospective bidders are urged to physically visit each site to see the work in question. Bids shall be addressed to the Fayette County Housing Authority and envelopes containing bids must be sealed and clearly marked with the "Sealed Bid," "Project Title," "Contract Number," and "Date and Time" for receipt of bids. A pre-bid conference will be held at the designated location. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond. Bidders must comply with nondiscrimination requirements, Executive Order #11625, Section III of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, and the Authority's Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Program Goal requirements where applicable.
