Sealed bids are requested for the construction of 0.029 miles of box bridge and approaches on Tocowa Road (also known as Muggy Hill Road) for the Local System Bridge Program Project No. LSBP-54(33) in Panola County. Items of work include mobilization, clearing and grubbing, removal of precast bridge, removal of asphalt, various excavation types (unclassified, borrow, structure), installation of geotextile fabric, temporary stream diversion, supply and placement of crushed stone, right-of-way markers, maintenance of traffic, additional construction signs, commercial fertilizer application, seeding, vegetative mulch, excelsior blanket, installation of temporary silt fence, wattles, loose riprap with supporting geotextile, construction of box bridge concrete, and reinforcement. The award will be made to the lowest qualified bidder based on published quantities. Certified check or bid bond for five percent of the total bid must accompany each proposal. Proposals qualified with conditions will be considered irregular and not considered for award. Bidders may submit electronically or on paper, as specified.
