The project scope includes furnishing and construction of clarifier covers onto the existing clarifiers (both north and south clarifier), and related appurtenances. Contract time is 120 consecutive calendar days. Liquidated damages in the amount of $500.00 will be assessed for each consecutive calendar day thereafter. Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi Law and show a current Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi Board of Public Contractors establishing classification as to the value and type of construction work on which they are authorized to bid. The bidder shall guarantee to hold their bid good and may not withdraw their bid for a period of 60 calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. The award, if made, will be made to the party submitting the lowest and best bid deemed most favorable to the Owner. The City of Batesville reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
