A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The project consists of providing and implementing a water pollution control plan; job site management; designing, installing, maintaining, and removing dewatering systems; clearing and grubbing; excavating damaged channel banks; furnishing and installing steel sheet piles near channel toe; constructing vegetated soil lifts; furnishing and placing geocells with crushed rock and soil; furnishing and placing topsoil; revegetation; and all necessary work to complete the project. All work must comply with Local, State, and Federal laws, as well as rules and guidelines contained in the plans and specifications, including the payment of prevailing wages. The contractor must possess a Class A or C-12 license at the time of contract award and throughout the construction duration. Bid proposals from prime contractors who do not attend the mandatory pre-bid networking/contractor conference will be rejected. The Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District encourages participation from disadvantaged/minority/women-owned business enterprises and the hiring of apprentices from within Alameda County.
