**As of January 30th, 2026, the project was awarded to Vance Brothers, LLC, with an awarded amount of $802,727.17** The scope of the project consists of, but is not limited to, the contractor supplying the labor, equipment, superintendence, material, etc., to furnish and install microsurfacing overlay, scrub seal overlay, asphalt patches, striping, reflectors, and all other incidentals associated with this work for those streets identified in the specifications. Additional streets, parking lots, etc., may be added should additional funding become available. All work must be completed within eighty (80) working days of the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Bidders may submit their bids electronically after registering as a potential supplier. Bidders must provide the same documents as mail-in submissions, including a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check as bid security. Electronic submissions must include copies of both the front and back of the check or bid bond. Bids must be signed in accordance with LRS Title 38:2212(B)5, and must include a Corporate Resolution or Certificate of Authority authorizing the person signing the bid; failure to submit this will be cause for rejection. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond payable to Lafayette Consolidated Government for five percent (5%) of the base bid plus additive alternates. The successful bidder will be required to execute performance and labor and material payment bonds in the full amount of the contract. Contractors or contracting firms submitting bids of $50,000.00 or more must be licensed for HIGHWAY STREET AND BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION and show their license number on the bid envelope.
