As of December 04, 2025, project is going to be readvertised on December 10 and December 17 with a bid opening date of January 9. For several items and quantities of work as follows: The City of La Feria improvement project includes the installation of 773 square yards of new 5-foot-wide reinforced concrete sidewalks with wire mesh, supported by 773 square yards of compacted sand base and 17 ADA-compliant ramps. Pedestrian safety will be enhanced with 6 painted crosswalks, 6 crosswalk signs, and 2 solar-powered LED signs. The project involves removing 549 SY of existing pavers, 104 SY of concrete sidewalks, 590 SY of asphalt driveways, and 262 SY of concrete driveways. Roadway upgrades include 262 SY of concrete driveway adjustments, 590 SY of asphalt restoration, 16 SY of road repair, 432 linear feet of valley gutter repair, 31 LF of curb extensions, and 101 SY of crosswalk asphalt restoration. Utility improvements feature 1 sewer manhole collar adjustment and 3 water valve collar adjustments. Site preparation includes grading, a storm water pollution plan, material testing, traffic control planning, and mobilization-all covered under lump sum items. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid [for those contracts that exceed $100,000]. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of La Feria or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The City of La Feria reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.
