As of April 22, 2025 project was awarded to Go Underground, LLC in the amount $903,646.21 Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work. Below is a brief description of the principal work items and estimated quantities. All bid items to be paid based on unit pricing. 60" RCP Class III (10' - 16' depth) - 1520 LF o 8' x 8' Reinforced Concrete Inlet Boxes and Top Grates (10' - 16' depth) - 6 EA o Connections to existing 42" RCPs - 3 EA o Connection to existing 60" RCP - 1 EA o Removal of existing driveway culverts o Driveway Repairs o Final Grading o SWPPP and Implementation o Traffic Control Plan and Implementation o Trench Excavation and Safety System and Implementation A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid [for those contracts that exceed $100,000]. A certified check or bank draft payable to City of La Feria or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The project to be constructed will be financed with assistance from the General Land Office (GLO) under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing Davis-Bacon and Related Acts wage rates, as issued by the Department of Labor and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. All contractors and subcontractors must be cleared (not suspended or debarred) prior to any formal action authorizing the award of a contract to the contractor. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, Section 3 Businesses, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. The City of La Feria reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by City of La Feria for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
