Baldwin County, Georgia is soliciting proposals from qualified landscaping and horticultural contractors to provide all necessary services, labor, and materials for the installation of plantings at the Baldwin County Regional Airport. The objective of this project is to beautify the airport grounds, specifically in the areas behind the main aircraft hangars as well as the East side gap closure of the airport, while creating a natural sound buffer to mitigate aircraft noise. All plantings must comply with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) recommendations for airport landscaping. All questions will be answered and distributed to interested proposers via email. Each proposer must submit one (1) electronic or written copy of their proposal labeled "Baldwin County Regional Airport Beautification RFP." Mark all underground utilities, prepare the soil with proper tilling and nutrients, and ensure adequate drainage for healthy root growth. 3. Planting & Installation Trees shall be a minimum of 8-10 feet in height at planting. Proper spacing, depth, and orientation must be followed to ensure an effective visual and sound screen. 4. Initial Maintenance & Watering The contractor shall provide a detailed 90-day watering and establishment plan. Watering for the first 90 days is required to ensure survival.
