Site work for a communication facility in Vernon, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a communication facility.
Proposals are solicited from responsible and established bidders known to be experienced and regularly engaged in installation of communication towers. This project will include: new 180' self-supporting tower, a new foundation for the tower, (3) VHF antennas with at least 3db gain and (2) UHF antennas with at least 5db gain mounted at or near the top. (2) VHF antennas and (1) UHF antenna mounted lower on the tower, and coax for all antennas to be ran into communications room and connected to the radios, grounding to the tower and inside the building, and ensure function of radio communications. The selected proposal shall provide the most cost-effective approach that meets or exceeds the stated requirements. The lowest price proposal will not necessarily be selected. Lamar County E-911 reserves the right to select the proposal which best meets the needs, regardless of the cost of that proposal, relative to other proposals received. Lamar County E-911 reserves the right to: reject any or all proposals and to require modifications to initial proposals.
