City Park Pond Enhancement Only One Proposal May Be Submitted by Each Respondent Unless There Are Alternate Bid Specifications Included in the Proposal. Each bid shall contain the full name and address of every person, firm or corporation interested in the same, and if a corporation, the name and address of the President and Secretary. Each bidder shall require a Certified check, bank draft or acceptable surety bid bond in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid. The Finance Director reserves the right to reject all bids or parts of bids for any one or more supplies or contractual services included in the proposed contract, when the public interest will be served. Scope of Work All work shall be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications and shall include every aspect of the work as indicated, implied, or necessary to provide a complete and fully operational project. Base bid General Scope The general scope of work for this project includes, but is not limited to, the following items: 1. Removal of Existing Concrete Sidewalk o Remove existing concrete sidewalk as indicated on the plans. 2. Installation of Decorative Bin Block Wall o Construct new decorative bin block retaining wall as detailed in the project drawings. 3. Installation of New Perimeter Sidewalk o Install new perimeter sidewalk per dimensions and grades shown on the plans. 4. Installation of New Connector Sidewalks o Install connector sidewalks as shown on plans to tie into existing walkways. Note: Contractor shall contact the City of Parkersburg Electric Shop at (304) 424-8549 a minimum of 48 hours prior to commencing work. The Electric Shop will locate and trace electrical lines around the pond prior to excavation or removal operations. Base Bid contractor Duration 90 Calendar days Each change or addendum issued in relation to this bid document will be on file in the office of the Purchasing Director no less than five (5) working days prior to the scheduled bid opening date. In addition, to the extent possible, copies will be mailed to each person registered as having received a set of bid documents.
