Proposals are requested from qualified firms to provide janitorial services for five county buildings. All labor, chemicals, equipment, and services are to be furnished by the contractor, while the County will provide trash bags, hand soap, hand towels, and other necessities. Work must be completed during normal business hours. The proposal must provide company background, qualifications, experience working in office/government settings, and references. Proposals can be submitted in a sealed format by mail, hand delivery, or electronically as a PDF. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal, waive irregularities, and is not liable for costs incurred by bidders. Specific cleaning tasks and frequencies are outlined for each building, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, disinfecting, window cleaning, and exterior entrance cleaning. The successful contractor must have $1,000,000 general liability insurance, name the County as an additional insured, and have valid workers’ compensation insurance. Compliance with E-Verify and applicable local, state, and federal laws is required. The contract may be terminated with thirty days’ notice by the County, except in cases of termination for cause.
