Renovation of a municipal facility in Ashburn, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade municipal facility.
**As of January 26, 2026, project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The Turner County Board of Commissioners is accepting bids for repairs at the old Phoebe Building located at 354 East Washington Avenue, Ashburn Georgia 31714. The scope of work consists of the following: Remove all rotten wood and install new siding and new shutters. All soffits need to be repaired and repainted. Clean and repaint canopy. Replace all countertops. Replace 5 windows, which must match other windows. Repair sheetrock where needed. Repaint all walls, trim work, and cabinets. Replace water heater due to a bad recirculating pump. Remove all carpet and replace with VCT Vinyl squares in the waiting area and VCT planks in the back part of the building. Replace lights in the middle area. Replace all A/C units, as they are bad. Replace broken fire sprinkler system PIV valves outside. The contractor must provide a dumpster for debris. Proposals must be submitted to Latrice Wilson, County Clerk, with 'Repairs-Phoebe Building 2025' on the subject line or hand-delivered in a sealed envelope to 208 East College Avenue, Ashburn, Georgia 31714. Turner County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals and to waive any informality in any proposal received.
