Site work and paving for a road / highway in Mobile, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade road / highway.
The work generally consists of the resurfacing of Grant Street, Short Street, and Ryan Street (approximately 0.83 miles). All bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes and addressed appropriately. Specifications are available from the City of Chickasaw City Hall or from Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. Bidders must deposit $50.00 per set for the documents, refundable to each prime contractor upon return of the documents in reusable condition within ten days after bid opening. Bidders must be properly licensed and qualified to submit a proposal in accordance with all applicable Alabama laws, including holding a current license from the State Licensing City for General Contractors. Non-resident corporations must be qualified with the Secretary of State to do business in Alabama. Prior to contract award, contractors with employees in Alabama must provide proof of enrollment in E-verify and execute a certificate of compliance with the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty days after the opening without the City's consent.
