Renovation of an educational facility in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Working plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.

As of November 25, 2025, this project has been postponed and will be out for bid at a later date, to be announced. 1. Installation of new chiller and removal of the old one, including expansion of the existing pad to fit and dowel to new. 2. Replacement of BAS controls in the chiller and boiler plant, including both existing and new pumps. 3. Replacement of heating-only AHUs with heating/cooling units, and integration to BAS as specified in the plans. 4. Replacement of the existing N2 controller with a new N4 controller, integrating all devices. 5. Replacement of the existing fire alarm system with a new specified fire alarm system. 6. Removal and replacement of electrical and fire protection as needed to accommodate the new scope. Bids are to be received for a single prime, all categories, as a lump sum proposal. Each bid must include the Identification of Minority Business Participation form and either Affidavit A or B, as applicable. Failure to complete these forms is grounds for rejection of the bid. Bidders must have proper licenses as required by state law. Proposals must be accompanied by a 5% bid bond or equivalent cash deposit. A performance bond and payment bond for 100% of the contract price are required. Payment will be made based on 95% of monthly estimates, with final payment upon completion and acceptance of the work. No bid may be withdrawn for 60 days after the scheduled closing time. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
