Site work, new construction and renovation of a municipal facility in Scotland, Connecticut. Conceptual plans call for the expansion of a municipal facility.
**As of January 08, 2026, as per owner they don't have plans in rebidding the project. ** The Town of Scotland invites qualified firms/individuals to submit sealed bids for one or more of the following tasks for work at the Scotland Public Safety Complex. 1. Replacement of Seven (7) Overhead Garage Doors. 2. Removal and installation of New Fire Department Roadside Electronic Sign. 3. Installation of Automatic 400A Generator Transfer Switch to integrate with existing Generator. 4. Replacement of existing heating and hot water system, domestic water tank and three (3) A/C units. Removal of underground oil tank. Installation of high-efficiency propane fired heating, hot water and cooling system. Installation of one (1) above ground 1,000 gallon propane tank. 5. Construction of 12'x 24' Storage Building with 12'x 16' pavilion. 6. Replacement of existing doors and windows with new energy-efficient units with the. Installation of new door lock system. *please indicate which tasks are included in your bid 8. Mounted 2 feet off the ground and no more than 7 feet high, with decorative elements similar to the current complex sign. 9. Mounting on two (2) 4-inch square powder-coated aluminum signposts, painted black. 10. Fabrication and installation of a department metal aluminum sign with vinyl gold leaf lettering and a vinyl blue background, featuring a Maltese fire department cross, similar to the existing sign. 11. Integration with the existing 15-amp electrical circuit for power supply. 12. Installation of appropriate lighting for the department sign to ensure visibility at night. 13. All work must comply with OSHA, NFPA, CT DEEP, the State Building Code, all applicable local codes, and all local zoning regulations governing sign requirements. 14. The sign design and installation location must receive final approval from the appropriate local authorities prior to commencement of work. 15. Contractor shall ensure all wiring and connections are up to current electrical standards and provide a fully operational system upon completion. 16. Compliance with prevailing wage laws if applicable. The Town of Scotland, Board of Selectmen, invites sealed bids for the Replacement of existing heating and hot water system, domestic water tank and three (3) A/C units. State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) percent of the state-funded portion of the contract for award to subcontractors holding current certification from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services ("DAS") under the provisions of Connecticut General Statutes 4a-60g as amended.
