There are several types of cafeteria applications which will need and include but not limited to ice machines, walk in coolers and freezers, reach in coolers and freezers, milk coolers, ice cream freezers, refrigerated serving line units, blast chillers, etc. The working environments of these facilities will include working around children and adults. Additional requirements are as follows but are not limited to replacement of door gaskets, locks, hinges, latches, door heaters, flooring and lighting and lighting modifications. This can also include the installation, modification, repair or relocation of existing refrigeration equipment, as well as anything deemed necessary by the Director of School Nutrition or appointee for the successful operation of the School Nutrition Cafeterias. Qualified individuals will be licensed in electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs and installation and hold all required refrigerant certifications. Awarded vendor may select to outsource (sub-contracted) to another qualified company any work deemed necessary to provide and expedite repairs to school cafeteria equipment to prevent the delay or interruption of serving meals to children. This will require notification to the School Nutrition Director or designee before contacting company and must meet all requirements stated within bid conditions.
