SUNY Upstate Medical University Community Hospital is requesting proposals from qualified vendors to provide up to twelve full-time employees for on-site Off-Shift and Weekend HVAC Mechanic/Building Operations coverage. These full-time positions are for eight-hour shifts covering the following schedules: - Tuesday to Saturday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM: three FTEs (pass days Sunday/Monday) - Tuesday to Saturday, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM: three FTEs (pass days Sunday/Monday) - Sunday to Thursday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM: three FTEs (pass days Friday/Saturday) - Sunday to Thursday, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM: three FTEs (pass days Friday/Saturday) There is an estimated 312 hours each (total estimated 3,744 hours) of optional overtime available. The positions report to Upstate’s HVAC Supervisor and may also receive direction from other designated supervisory staff. Bidder instructions: - Refer to the provided exhibit for mandatory and preferred employee qualifications. - All requirements and specifications are provided in the Invitation for Bid (IFB) document S1497, available online. - Vendors must meet all mandatory bidder qualifications and accept all terms and conditions in the IFB. - Only the contacts listed in the advertisement and IFB may be communicated with during the restricted procurement period, per New York State Lobbying Law §139. - Noncompliance may result in penalties including debarment. - NYS Small Businesses and businesses certified pursuant to Article 15-A of NYS Executive Law are encouraged to submit bids. - The contract term is two years, with an optional three-year renewal period. - Minority and Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goals: 15% each. - Previously awarded vendors under similar procurements include GSH Group, Cedar Park, and Johnson Controls.
