Description

Renovation of an educational facility in San Rafael, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.

The scope of work is as follows: Building LA HVAC: Complete replacement of HVAC systems, expansion of existing equipment platforms, localized structural strengthening at roof to support new units; patch and repair ceiling and finishes as relates to HVAC replacement. The HVAC equipment has been purchased. Building LA and MU Roof Replacement: Remove and replace roof at both buildings, and infill at roof openings. Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical subcontractors must be pre-qualified with the District prior to the bid date. Each bid must conform to the invitation, plans, specifications, and all other contract documents. The successful bidder must comply with the provisions of the Labor Code regarding payment of the prevailing rate of wages and training programs. The project requires compliance monitoring and enforcement by the California Department of Industrial Relations, proper licensure at the time of bid, and conformance with requirements related to skilled and trained workforce and apprenticeships. The Governing Board requires a retention amount of 10%. Bids cannot be withdrawn for sixty days after the bid opening. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or irregularities in the bidding.
