Renovation of a mixed-use development in Huntington, New York. Working plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade library.

As of 12/15/2025 the project has been cancelled Mezzanine library renovations at Henry L. Stimson Middle School. Work includes general construction, abatement, and electrical tasks. Complete sets of bidding documents, drawings, and specifications are available online or from REVplans. Bids must be submitted in the standard proposal form, sealed, and clearly marked with the name of the job and bidder. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond for 5% of the total amount, as a commitment to enter into a contract and perform the work. Certification of the bonding company is required. Bidders must hold their bid price for 45 days. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informality, and accept the bid most in the interests of the School District. A pre-bid conference and walk-through is scheduled but not mandatory; attendance is highly recommended. Only official plan holders of record will be recognized. Bids must be made in the standard proposal form in the manner designated therein and as required by the specifications that must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name of the job and name and address of the bidder on the outside, addressed to: SOUTH HUNTINGTON UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT, clearly marked on the outside: Bid For: MEZZANINE LIBRARY RENOVATIONS AT HENRY L. STIMSON MIDDLE SCHOOL. This following abbreviated summary is provided in order to briefly describe the work covered by the Contract Documents for this Construction Contract.
