Reference Number 0000403970 Bid Intent Not Available Purchase Type Term: 12/15/2025 04:00 PM EST - 06/30/2026 02:00 AM EDT The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) is seeking to solicit responses from Qualified Respondents to replace the evaporative cooler at the Aurora Emissions Technical Center located at 15608 East 18th Avenue, Aurora, CO 80011. The State, in its sole discretion, may or may not accept inquires received after the date and time indicated on the Schedule of Activities. This project serves to maintain indoor atmospheric conditions for laboratory equipment and staff by installing a new evaporative cooler suitable for seasonally cooling 10,000 square feet of laboratory space. Code Compliance 1. File applicable building permit(s) with the Authority Having Jurisdiction Remove or Modify Frame 2. Remove or modify existing support frame to accommodate the new cooler. a. The existing cooler support frame accommodates a heated air duct discharged below the assembly that is no longer required and will therefore accommodate lowering the equipment to a convenient service height. (See Photo) b. Disconnect and "safe-out" existing 208v electrical connection from the exterior cutoff switch box. The fused isolation switch is located six feet from the unit. c. Disconnect the water supply from the building. d. Leave all utilities undamaged with clean cuts suitable for re-connection of the new unit. e. Disconnect exterior ducting while minimizing damage to the sheet metal exterior wall sheathing. i. Provide repairs if necessary to maintain building integrity ii. Repair sheet metal wall to cover abandoned heating path - consult with landlord for requirements. f. Haul unusable metal components to a metal recycling facility. g. Dispose of non-metallic waste in a responsible manner Repair the surface 3. If the support frame is removed, pour a concrete slab or install asphalt flush with the surrounding surface to repair the footprint. Install a new evaporative cooler Equipment Specifications: - GENERAL: The evaporative cooler shall be a self-contained, single housing unit consisting of a minimum of a "wet section" and "fan section". The "wet section" shall consist of cooling media, water delivery system and any selected accessories. The "fan section" shall consist of a fan (blower), motor, drive arrangement and any selected accessories to deliver specified air volume against 1.02" static pressure. The wet section and fan section shall be constructed from Stainless Steel grade 304 unless otherwise specified. - Adapt to existing ducting - 45"x24" - System performance adequate for comfort-cooling 10,000 square feet with no interior heat contribution. -12,000 CFM or greater -Direct or Indirect evaporative cooling technology -208/3/60 Voltage (Existing) - Stainless steel reservoir and blower section - Serviceable from standing height - Automatic Freeze Protection - Use existing wiring to install a new thermostat - Use existing supply water control. The pre-existing drain/supply solenoid is 120/60 adapted to 1/2 " copper pipe.
