Engineering Building Addition Project Sealed bids are invited for the Engineering Building Addition Project for the City of Prattville. The primary work consists of a 1,000 square foot addition to the Street Department Facility, featuring three offices and a conference room. An additive alternate includes a pre-fabricated canopy adjacent to the vehicle shop. The construction and materials are to match the existing facility, utilizing a pre-engineered metal building structure, metal stud framing, hardie board siding, and adhered stone veneer. The project must be completed within 120 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Bids must be submitted on original proposals provided by the Architects and include a certified check or Bid Bond payable to the City of Prattville in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid, but no more than $10,000. The successful bidder must provide a 100% performance bond and a 50% payment bond from a licensed surety in Alabama. Bidders must hold a valid contractor's license in Alabama and submit evidence of such with their bid. All proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the bidder's name, license number, expiration date, category, address, and project name on the outside.
