The project generally consists of the furnishing of all materials, labor, and equipment for the construction of a 0.5 mile section of a hardscape pedestrian facility that will connect approximately 5 miles of greenway under US 21 north and all associated work including, but not limited to, clearing, grading, paving, drainage, landscaping, and structures. Bidders must submit bids accompanied by a cash deposit, certified check, or bid bond equal to five percent of the total bid. The Owner may retain the bid deposit if the successful bidder fails to execute the contract or provide required bonds within fourteen days after notice of contract award. Bidders are responsible for reviewing all addenda and must acknowledge them on the bid form. All bids shall comply with Section 102 and Section 103 of the 2024 Standard Specifications. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and accept any bid deemed in its best interest, considering quality, performance, and time. Bidders are encouraged to secure project bid documents as noted; neither the Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for documents obtained elsewhere.
