The project consists of the design and construction of a 400 kW ballasted rooftop solar photovoltaic system. Bids will be received under a Prime Contract for Electrical Construction. Starting Friday, November 7, 2025, interested bidders may obtain electronic (.pdf) bid documents by submitting a written request including company name and mailing address, name of bidders representative, telephone and fax numbers, email address for electronic document delivery, and contract number requested. All questions regarding bidding or contract documents shall be submitted in writing no later than five business days before the bid due date. Each bid must include a Bid Bond equal to 10% of the total bid amount, including all alternates. The successful bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, both for 100% of the contract amount and issued by a corporate surety satisfactory to the Owner. Bids may not be withdrawn, modified, or canceled for 60 calendar days after opening, except as allowed under the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Procurement Code. If the award is delayed, bids may be held for up to 120 days. The School District of Haverford Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities or irregularities, and accept any combination of alternates, or none, in the best interest of the District.
