The work consists of construction of Mulberry Park, which includes demolition as described in the plans, grading and erosion control for approximately 3.1 acres, installation of light duty asphalt, slate access drives, access gate, porous pavers, sidewalks, slate paths, wheel stops, signage, park furniture, pavilion, parking spaces, concrete stairs, design build retaining wall, pedestrian crossing, amphitheater seating, restroom, pump station and line work for restroom, ceramics building renovation, electrical for site and buildings, and all other associated appurtenances as shown on the plans. Bidders are required to furnish all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and other miscellaneous items necessary for the completion of the project. Bids must be made out on the bid form contained in the contract documents and meet all specified requirements, including submitting a bid bond or certified cashier's check equal to five percent of the total bid with the bid. The successful bidder must provide insurance and performance and payment bonds for the total bid amount. The successful bidder is required to perform at least 30% of the contract value as the Prime Contractor. All applicable federal, state, and local laws must be complied with, and specific compliance with Davis-Bacon Wage Rates and Build America, Buy America (BABA) is required. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids, and to accept any bid in its opinion to be in the best interest of the OWNER.
