The Contract generally consists of construction of the Biosolids Facility Site Wall including construction of the reinforced concrete flood wall around the Biosolids Facility Site; installation of two (2) flood swing gates and associated security gates; pavement modifications; construction of the biosolids facility stormwater pumping station surge tank; construction of a storm sewer isolation chamber with associated sluice gate and actuator; relocation of utilities and utility structures as required; and other associated work as more particularly indicated, shown, or described in the Contract Document Sealed proposals are requested for the construction of the Biosolids Facility Site Wall at the Joint Meeting of Essex and Union Counties Wastewater Treatment Plant. Proposals must be submitted electronically as specified and include the Bidder's Proposal along with all documents required at the time of bid, as listed on the bidder's checklist. No late bids will be accepted. TIME FOR COMPLETION of this Contract is 730 calendar days. Every request for such interpretation should be in writing, addressed to the Engineer, at the address included in the advertisement and to be given consideration must be received not later than ten (10) days (Saturdays, Sundays and holidays excepted) prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. Samuel, P.E., CME Associates, may be examined at the office of said Engineer at 3141 Bordentown Avenue, Parlin, New Jersey and at the office of the Joint Meeting, 500 South First Street, Elizabeth, New Jersey, during business hours (9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) and electronic copies may be obtained via the online bidding platform listed in the advertisement. If required by the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), social distancing will be mandated and facemasks must be worn to view the Contract Documents in person.
