Demolition, site work, paving, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Completed plans call for the addition of a one-story above grade educational facility; and one-story above grade educational facility.

Lump sum proposals are being received for Bid Release 4 – South and North Addition and Renovations project for Glenbard Township High School District 87. The scope includes: Work at Glenbard North High School: new Music Building Addition (including band room, orchestra room, practice rooms, office suites); civil updates (new site utilities, expanded parking lot, landscaping); construction starting spring 2026 with completion in spring 2027. Summer 2026 renovation includes three science labs, conversion of classrooms to Art rooms, new windows for six classrooms, gym upgrades (new bleachers, flooring refinish) with turnover by August 2026. Work at Glenbard South High School: summer 2026 renovation of first-floor west wing (eight classrooms, office spaces, child development room, culinary lab), new windows for three levels, renovations of three science labs, full replacement of the 14,400 SF gym floor, all with turnover by August 2026. Bid Packages (BP) include: Demolition, Building and Site Concrete, Masonry, Structural Steel & Misc Metals, General Carpentry, Millwork & Casework, Roofing & Metal Panels, Glass and Glazing, Framing/Drywall/Acoustics, Paint & Wallcoverings, Flooring/Ceramic Tile Work, Gym Flooring, Gym Bleachers, Laboratory Casework, Site Demo/Earthwork/Utilities, Rammed Aggregate Piers, Asphalt Paving, Landscaping. Each BP is identified for North and/or South campuses. Instructions to Bidders: Bidding is through Procore Bidding. Prospective bidders must submit current qualifications to Gilbane Building Company via COMPASS. Bid security in the form of a bid bond equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid is required. Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond equal to 100% of the bid may be required for the awarded bidder. All work must comply with prevailing wage requirements as per the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. Work must be performed in accordance with the Contract Documents. Failure to comply with bidding requirements results in disqualification. Gilbane Building Company and Glenbard Township High School District 87 reserve the right to reject any or all bids.
