Lump sum proposals are requested from contractors for a Classroom & Learning Commons Addition and 2026/2027 Renovations at Glenbard West High School. The addition includes a four-story classroom wing and a two-story learning commons, constructed on the north side of the existing school. Foundation work involves the installation of rammed aggregate piers, frost walls, and footings for the learning commons, and full-height foundation walls for the 100 level of the building. Interior renovation for the summers of 2026 and 2027 will refresh science classrooms, general-purpose classrooms, student services, restrooms, and administration areas. Additional civil upgrades include renovation of an existing entrance and a new staircase from Crescent to enhance campus accessibility. Bid packages include, but are not limited to: demolition, building concrete, masonry, structural steel, miscellaneous metals, general carpentry, millwork and casework, laboratory casework, roofing, spray fireproofing and insulation, glass and glazing, framing/drywall/acoustics, paint and wall coverings, carpet and resilient flooring, ceramic and porcelain tile, food service equipment, stage rigging, theatre seating, conveying equipment, theatrical lighting and systems, site demolition/earthwork/utilities, rammed aggregate piers, site concrete and paving, and landscaping. Instructions to Bidders: - Bidding will occur through Procore Bidding. - Current qualifications must be submitted via COMPASS at https://compass-app.com/auth/register. - Bid security in the form of a bid bond equal to 10% of the base bid is required. - Guarantee bonds in the form of 100% performance and labor/material payment bonds may be required from the awarded bidder. - All work must comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. - Failure to comply with these requirements will result in disqualification. - Bids from non-prequalified bidders will be returned unopened. - The Glenbard Township High School District 87 and Gilbane Building Company reserve the right to reject any or all bids.
