Renovation of a detention facility in Honaker, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade detention facility.
The project involves improvements to the electrical systems at Appalachian Detention & Diversion Center relating to code and safety improvements. Sealed bids are to be submitted electronically through eVA. A Bid Bond is required. Bidders or offerors must be registered vendors in eVA. Instructions on procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawal of bids, and other related information are included in the Instructions to Bidders. Withdrawal due to bid errors is allowed as per the specified section in the Instructions to Bidders and the Virginia Code. The Owner has the right to reject any or all bids. A pre-bid conference is scheduled at the project location, and attendance is encouraged but not mandatory. Site admittance requires a valid ID and security clearance approval, with specific attire prohibitions. The contract will be awarded on a lump sum basis, considering the Total Base Bid Amount and any Additive Bid Items as selected by the Owner. Contractor registration under Virginia law is required. Bidding documents, including plans and specifications, are available from the office of Thompson & Litton, Inc., and for inspection at specified locations.
