Renovation of a mixed-use development in Brimley, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Purpose and Background Brimley Area Schools ("the District") invites qualified vendors to submit proposals for a Districtwide Intercom and Paging System Replacement. This project will replace the legacy communication system with a modern, code-compliant, IP-based or hybrid intercom solution that integrates with the District's public address, emergency notification, and classroom communication needs. This initiative is identified in the Brimley Area Schools Facility Assessment (September- November 2025) as part of the District's modernization priorities for K-12 facilities, and will support safety, accessibility, and operational efficiency across all campus buildings. Project Scope The District seeks a turnkey installation including design, procurement, installation, configuration, and commissioning of a complete intercom and paging system for all District facilities. System components must include: - Approximately 52 classroom call stations, 99 indoor speakers/horns, and 8 outdoor speakers/horns. - Administrative consoles for key operational areas. - Integration with telephone and network infrastructure. - Emergency alerting and lockdown system integration per NFPA 72. - UPS or generator power resiliency. - Five-year core system warranty and one-year labor/material warranty. - Training for staff and 30 days of post-installation support. System must support emergency paging, two-way classroom communication, emergency warning and alert system (interior and exterior) and scheduled bell control. Components shall be compatible with or equivalent to systems such as CareHawk CH2000 IP or CH1000 analog. All installation work must comply with OSHA, MIOSHA, and NEC standards. Vendors must submit a sealed proposal that includes: 1. Cover Letter 2. Technical Proposal 3. Project Management Plan 4. Pricing Proposal (itemized) 5. Compliance Statements 7. Contractor further certifies that no equipment, software, or services offered under this contract originate from or are manufactured in these countries. In accordance with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act, 2012 PA 517, the bidder certifies that it is not an Iran-linked business as defined in MCL 129.312. Submission of a false certification is a material breach and may result in contract termination. Products provided under this RFP must comply with the Buy American Act and applicable Trade Agreements Act provisions. Vendors shall certify origin of goods upon request. The Vendor certifies that no equipment, software, or services provided under this contract include products manufactured by Huawei, ZTE, Hikvision, Dahua, Hytera, or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates, in compliance with 2 CFR 200.216
