Remodeling of an educational facility in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the remodel of a one-story above grade educational facility.
This Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to, painting and signage of Phase 2. Refer to the Architect's drawings for specific areas. Bidders must be qualified General Contractors, properly licensed under the laws of the State of South Carolina. All bids must be submitted on the provided bid form, enclosed in a sealed opaque envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, contractor's license number, identification of contract being bid, and name of project. All bids are to be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Amount. All bids must comply with the laws of the State of South Carolina. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities, and award the contract in the best interest of the Owner. QUESTIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY: 12/02/2025 by 12:00 PM All questions should be submitted to Raymond Jenkins prior to the deadline for receipt of questions via Email Raymond_jenkins@charleston.k12.sc.us with copy to Joseph Walters joseph.walters@cumming-group.com and Troy Waltersjoseph.walters@cumming-group.com. Contractor shall maintain the construction entrances. This shall include (but not necessarily be limited to) grading, filling of ruts and potholes, and maintaining proper drainage. Maintenance of entry gates shall also be the contractor's responsibility. Adjacent public streets, sidewalks, curbs, and parking lots shall be swept, scraped, washed and kept clean daily (more often as necessary) throughout all operations. C. Contractor to schedule his work in accordance with all noise ordinances per the authority having jurisdiction. D. Contractor shall provide a letter accepting all project conditions prior to commencing work. E. Contractor shall provide a project specific safety plan prior to mobilization.
