Bids from qualified and interested Bidders for the David Simmons Jr. Community Dock Repairs project. The project includes an underwater inspection of the existing dock piles and submerged structural components, removal and replacement of deteriorated timber framing and associated structural members, and installation of pile protection in accordance with the engineered drawings. In general, the Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to, repairs to the community dock by removing and replacing damaged structural components, reusing existing decking where practicable, and performing related hardware and connection repairs. Bid alternates are included for full removal and replacement of the existing decking using different material options as well as a remediation method. Question Deadline 01/28/2026 at 12:00 PM ET All work shall be completed within one hundred twenty (120) calendar days from Notice to Proceed. The project consists of repairs to the David Simmons Jr. Community Dock in accordance with the engineered drawings and specifications. Work includes an underwater inspection of the dock piles from bents 51 through 57 to determine the required linear feet (LF) of pile protection, for which Alternate 3 may be used as a remediation option, along with the removal and replacement of deteriorated or damaged timber framing and associated structural members. The Base Bid assumes reuse of the existing decking to the extent practicable, including removal and reinstallation as required to complete structural repairs. Bid alternates are provided for full removal and replacement of the existing IPE decking with either 2x6 Southern Pine No. 1 decking or composite decking, with the finished deck elevation matching the existing conditions. Alternate 3 provides a remediation option for damaged piles found during the underwater inspection of bents 51 through 57, as noted on the plans. The two options chosen were SEASHIELD SERIES 400 PROTECTION SYSTEM PER 5/S6.3 (structural repair) and SEASHIELD SERIES 90 PROTECTION SYSTEM PER 4/S6.3 (pile protection). The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to complete the work within 120 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. BASE BID - David Simmons Jr. Community Dock Repairs 1. Perform underwater inspection of existing dock piles from bent 51 through 57 to determine required repairs in accordance with the engineered drawings (UOM - LS). 2. Remove and replace deteriorated or damaged timber framing, bracing, whalers, and other structural members as shown on the engineered plans (UOM - LS). 3. Remove and reinstall existing decking as required to complete structural repairs; reuse existing decking where practicable (UOM - LS). 4. Remove and replace deteriorated or missing hardware, connectors, and fasteners as required to complete the work in accordance with the plans and specifications (UOM - LS).
