Sand Filter No. 1 & 2 Media Replacement and Cleaning. The work consists of removing, stockpiling and disposing of 70cy of sand filter media from sand filter 1&2, chemical cleaning of the existing Treatment Plant sand filter beds using Pantonite PM77. The work under this Contract consists of removing, stockpiling and disposing of 70 cubic yards of sand filter media from Sand Filter 1 & 2, chemical cleaning of the existing Water Treatment Plant (WTP) sand filter beds using PANTONITE PM77 and installing approximately 70 cubic yards of new sand filter media. Work associated with the project consists of site preparation of the existing sand filter beds, temporary clarifier system rental, installation of Pantonite PM 77, removing and replacing sand filter media, coordinating testing, inspections and final approval by Pantonite McLeod. The Contract Time shall be 60 calendar days to complete all work, commencing ten days following the effective date of the Agreement. Written clarifications or interpretations will be issued by Addenda not later than five days before the bid opening date. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other clarifications or interpretations will be without legal effect.
