Renovation of an educational facility in Mankato, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.
**As of January 26th, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The Owner is seeking proposals from qualified consultants for Building Envelope Commissioning Agent (BECxA) services, including window quality review. The purpose is to evaluate and select a commissioning agent for the project. Interested and qualified consulting firms are invited to submit their proposals. The Building Envelope Commissioning effort for this project is primarily involved with the window openings and the termination to adjacent walls. The duties involve reviewing design phase deliverables against the Minnesota State Facility Design Standards for windows and curtainwall and issuing comments to the A/E team. After bid award, the BECxA will also review shop drawing submittals and issue comments, facilitate window pre-installation conference, and oversee the quality testing after the installation is complete. A full list of duties is summarized in the attached BECxA Scope of Services Exhibit. Minnesota State University, Mankato, has an effort underway to replace existing windows in the McElroy HHall and Preska I-Hall dormitories. These buildings have 4 stories impacted by this work with 138 total openings; 16 curtainwalls and 122 operable windows. Provide a lump sum fee for all basic and supplemental services.
