Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Mathis, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: drill and install new water wells with fencing, piping, electrical, etc., and entry roads. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid for those contracts that exceed $100,000. A certified check or bank draft payable to Ardurra Group, Inc. or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) may be submitted in lieu of the bid bond. The project will be financed with assistance from the General Land Office (GLO) under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant - Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. The federally determined prevailing Davis-Bacon and Related Acts wage rate, as issued by the Department of Labor and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. The successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. Adherence to the City of Mathis Section 3 Policy is required for all contracts. All contractors and subcontractors must be cleared (not suspended or debarred) prior to any formal action authorizing the award of a contract to the contractor. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, Veteran-Owned Businesses, Section 3 Businesses, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. The City of Mathis reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City of Mathis for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. Question Deadline 11/27/2025: No oral interpretations will be made to any bidder. Each request for clarification shall be made in writing to the City of Mathis or engineer no less than seven (7) days prior to the bid opening. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
