Title of Work: Entry Vestibule South Plainfield Municipal Location of Work: 2480 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield, New Jersey General Description of Work: The Work of This Project Includes, but is Not Limited to, Demolition of Existing Concrete Sidewalk and Storefront System. Construction of New 170 Square Foot Enclosure With Roof Structure and Epdm Roof Finish. Metal Stud Framing With Painted Gypsum Board Finish. New Storefront System With Low Energy Power Operated Automatic Door Openers. New Ceiling and Light Fixtures in Vestibule and Adjacent Lobby. Vestibule Floor Finish to Be Walk Off Carpet. Address for Receiving Bids: South Plainfield Municipal Building Municipal Court/ Council Chambers 2480 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield, New Jersey Bid Security: Bid Security is Required in the Amount Not Less Than Ten Percent (10%) of the Total Amount Indicated in the Bid, but Not in Excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00). No Bid May Be Withdrawn for a Period of Sixty (60) Days After the Date Set for Opening Except With Express Written Approval by the Owner. Consent of Surety: Certificate From a Surety Company is Required Indicating Consent to Be Bound as Surety and Guarantor for Performance Required Under the Contract Documents.the Consent of Surety Required Must Be Unconditional. The Right is Reserved by the Owner to Reject Any or All Bids or to Waive Any Immaterial Defect or Informality in Any Bid, if Deemed in the Best Interest of the Owner. Any Bid Which Does Not Fulfill the Material Requirements of the Bidding Documents Will Be Rejected. A Bid Security in the Form Specified in the Bidding Documents to the Order of Theowner, in an Amount of Not Less Than Ten Percent (10%) of the Total Amount of the Bid, Not to Exceed Twenty Thousand ($20,000.00) Dollars. 3. A Consent of Surety Evidencing That the Successful Bidder for Any Contract(S) or Combined Contract Will Furnish in the Form Required for a Surety Company Satisfying the Requirements of the Bidding Documents Including: A Performance Bond in the Amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract Price, a Labor and Materials Bond in the Amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract Price; and, at the Time Required in the Bidding Documents, a Maintenance Bond in the Total Amount of Twenty-five Percent (25%) of the Contract Price. Question Deadline 01/30/2026: Bidders and Sub-bidders requiring clarification or interpretation of the Bidding Documents shall make a written request which shall reach the Architect at least ten (10) days prior to the date for receipt of Bids.
