The State University of New York Maritime College (SUNY Maritime), seeks a qualified electrical contractor to install a new manufactured, exterior athletic scoreboard on Reinhart Field. Proposals must be inclusive of all labor, electrical material, equipment, and tools necessary to perform the work outlined in the scope of work. CR Number: 2128623 Questions and requests for IFB clarification due: 11/24/2025 5:00pm Answers to questions and requests for clarification issued (Final Addendum): 11/26/2025 5:00pm estimated Projected Award Date: 1/5/2026 Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 11% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 19% Contract term: Four months Each proposal must be accompanied by the required amount of bid security in the form of bank draft or certified check Bid Security must be 5% (Five Percent) of the Bid amount. SUNY Maritime College reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, or any part thereof, if deemed in the best interest of SUNY Maritime College and the State of New York Scope of Services: 1. Prior to the start of any work, the campus will perform a utility mark out of the area. The contractor shall review and note all the utilities in the area prior to any excavation. 2. Protect surrounding ground surfaces with plywood prior to the start of any work. 3. Remove and dispose of existing scoreboard. 4. Visually inspect existing support columns prior to installation to ensure planarity and plumbness. 5. Coordinate with campus personnel for the delivery of the scoreboard from the manufacturer. 6. Accept delivery, unload carrier, and inspect all equipment and control equipment from Daktronics. 7. Install the scoreboard display sections, advertisement panel, and decorative truss on the existing columns in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines. The contractor must coordinate the installation with Daktronics. 8. Lifting, mounting and installing the equipment listed must be performed in conformance with product specifications. Refer to attached equipment list. 9. Install front-end, control equipment in the existing press box. 10. Provide power and communication to the new scoreboard in accordance with the drawings and specifications by Collado Engineering, titled "Scoreboard Replacement and Power Upgrade Project" dated 10/15/25, pages: o E-001 - ELECTIRCAL COVER SHEET o E-002 - ELECTRICAL SITE PLAN o E-100 - ELECTRICAL SITE POWER PLAN o E-101 - RIESENBURG GYMNASIUM 1 ST FLOOR ELECTRICAL PLAN o E-102 - ELECTRICAL PRESS BOX o E-200 - ELECTRICAL DETAILS o E-201 - ELECTRICAL SCOREBOARD DETAILS o E-300 - ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS 11. The contractor must be present during system starrtup and final commissioning by manufacturer (Daktronics) 12. Perform final cleanup. Existing Data: 1. Existing Column heights: 31'-8" (Left and right columns), 33'-2" (Center column) 2. Column type: I-shape 3. Existing Column size: 12" Flange x 12.25" depth 4. Flange thickness: 5/8" 5. Column spacing: 8'-0" on center 6. Weight of new display 3,975 lbs. (4,300 lbs packaged) 7. Weight of Truss: 755 lbs.
