The City of Bridgeport seeks bids for Horticultural Landscaping & Chemical Supplies for Golf Course & Parks. Any questions regarding this bid must be presented in writing and may be posted directly at online. The cut-off date for questions is 4:00 pm on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. The intent of the Invitation to Bid is to obtain pricing information for Horticultural and Chemical as well as miscellaneous landscaping supplies for the City of Bridgeport Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course and the Department of Parks and Recreation. The vendor shall be responsible for providing costs in the attached pricing sheets for horticultural and landscaping supplies. This is a unit price bid with a bulk-volume discount pricing component and no bid bond is required. Any brand or trade names used by the City of Bridgeport in bid specifications are for the purpose of describing and establishing the standard of quality, performance and characteristics desired and are not intended to limit or restrict competition. Bid price submitted shall be firm fixed and valid through December 30, 2027. Bid award extended in whole and in part be if all parties- (City, Purchasing and Golf Course, Parks Department, and Vendor) are of agreement for no more than two consecutive one-year periods (January 1, 2026 - December 30, 2026, and January 1, 2027 - December 30, 2027). Written acknowledgement from vendor will be required. No added freight or fuel surcharges will be permitted at the time of or after the initial order. All pricing submitted shall be furnished and delivered to the following address: Fairchild Wheeler Maintenance Garage, 1062 Church Hill Road, Fairfield, CT 06825, unless otherwise noted. The City of Bridgeport reserves the right to Reject any and all bids in whole or in part or to accept any bid, in its sole discretion if doing so is deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Bridgeport. Reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to decline to make an award. To make an award to more than one bidder. To make awards not based solely on low bid when time is a critical factor. To Request MSDS sheets or additional product information and literature or samples on any brands or products proposed as equivalent to those listed herein prior to award or to be included with shipment. Verify that the bidder was not delinquent on any, City real and personal property taxes, at the time of the bid opening. Award a contract to the responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the City of Bridgeport in terms of cost, price, and other factors specified elsewhere in this solicitation, considering the bidder's price, resources, equipment, availability and other factors specified elsewhere in this solicitation. Award same line to multiple bidders over the course of several seasons based on availability, selection, or other factors to be determined to be in the best interest of the City. The Vendor is prohibited from assigning, transferring, conveying, subletting, or otherwise disposing of the ultimate contract award or its rights, title or interest therein or its power to execute such agreement to any other person, company or corporation without the prior consent and approval in writing by the City. Do not include in your quotation any taxes for which the City is not liable. The City will issue tax-exempt certificates covering the work upon request. Submission of a bid will be considered presumptive evidence that the bidder is conversant with landscaping, horticultural and chemical supplies, the requirements of the bid documents, local and state codes applicable to the supplies, state labor and materials markets, and has made due allowance in its bid for all contingencies. It is hereby understood, agreed and acknowledged that upon award of the successful bid the undersigned bidder shall be bound and obligated to perform for the City of Bridgeport in accordance with the Terms, Obligations, Conditions, and Specifications as set forth in this bid and the Invitation to Bid. Any changes, revisions or alterations of this contract of the Terms, Conditions, and Requirements herein shall deem this document to be null and void.
