Site work, new construction and remodeling of a mixed-use development in Pleasanton, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a one-story above grade educational facility; one-story above grade educational facility; one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field; and one-story above grade sidewalk / parking lot.

Question Deadline 01/27/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed via email to the District to Jenny Choi, jenny.choi@vpcsonline.com. Questions received less than SEVEN (7) calendar days prior to the date for opening bids may not be answered. The project consists of: New classroom building; Remodel of existing classrooms; New playground; New parking lot; and all work included on the logistical plans, drawings, and specifications under DSA application 01-122428. All bids shall be on the form provided. Each bid must conform and be responsive to all pertinent Contract Documents, including the Instructions to Bidders. A bid bond by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the District, a cashier's check, or a certified check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price shall accompany the Bid Form and Proposal. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit will be held; failure to attend or tardiness will render a bid ineligible. The successful Bidder shall furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors must comply with sections 2449, 2449.1, 2449.2 of Title 13 of the California Code of Regulations, provide Certificate(s) of Reported Compliance for In-Use Off-Road Diesel-Fueled Fleets, and pay workers no less than the prevailing wage rates. The Project is subject to labor compliance monitoring and enforcement, and, if funded with federal funds, Davis-Bacon Act requirements. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. If the Contract is awarded, it will be based on the lowest responsive responsible bid for the base bid amount plus all alternates. Pre-qualification requirements: Only prequalified bidders will be eligible to submit a bid for a public project involving a projected expenditure of $1 million or more using or planning to use state general fund or state school bond funds. Any bid submitted by a bidder who is not prequalified shall be non-responsive. Bids listing subcontractors holding C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43 or C-46 licenses for electrical, mechanical or plumbing work who have not been prequalified shall be deemed nonresponsive. The Bidder is required to possess one or more of the following State of California contractors' license(s): B - General Building Contractor. The Bidder's license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. The Bidder is also required to be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to the Labor Code.
