All Work must be completed by April 15, 2026. Hog Island Terminal is located at #4 Atlantic Ave, Essington, PA 19029. Hog Island Terminal was built circa 1920 as a dry dock in the 1950's the wharf as it is currently constructed was built. Hog Island Terminal is equipped with a marginal wharf consisting of four (4) berths. Berth 1 is the downriver most berth and Berth 4 is the upriver most berth. Berths 2 and 3 are being rehabilitated as part of this project, the general constitution of only Berths 2 and 3 is described in this section. Berth 2 is approximately 719 linear feet in length and consists of Outshore Mooring Dolphins 2A and 2B; Inshore Mooring Dolphins 2A, 2B and 2C; Breasting Platform Nos. 2E and 2W; Cable Platform No. 2; and Spillway Platform No. 2. Berth 3 is approximately 964 linear feet in length and consists of Inshore Mooring Dolphins 3A, 3B and 3C; Breasting Platform Nos. 3E, 3C and 3W; Truck Turning Area 3; Cable Platform No. 3; and Spillway Platform No. 3. The Owner wishes to convert Berths 2 and 3 of the existing Hog Island Terminal marginal wharf to a cruise terminal. The following scope items are required to rehabilitate the existing marginal wharf to accept Jewel/Peral class vessels. In general, the scope of work under this Contract includes the following: a. Procure, fabricate, coat, deliver, and handle all materials and mobilize. b. Demolish select topside features of the marginal wharf. c. Demolish the existing fender system. d. Install two landside mooring dolphins, MD-1 and MD-2. e. Install one waterside mooring dolphin, MD-3. f. Install new reinforcing beams and concrete deck at the marginal wharf. g. Install ten new foam filled fenders and fender framing. h. Install two new spring line bollards along the marginal wharf. i. Install new bracing on existing timber piles. j. Install new landside concrete ramp. k. Submit As-Built Drawings, clean-up site and demobilize.
