Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Brunswick, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade water / sewer project.
“The owner has determined a prequalified list of design build companies. The preliminary deadline for questions, prior to the mandatory pre-proposal meeting and site visit will being held Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 12:00 NOON EST. The project is for Progressive Design Build Services for the Academy Creek WPCF Rehabilitation and involves the design and installation for the complete and good-as-new replacement of six existing clarifier units. Work includes removal of existing clarifier implements (feed wells, mechanisms, weirs, troughs, bridges, and baffles), recoating of existing concrete, purchase and installation of new mechanisms, weirs, and troughs, and installation of six new gate actuators for influent gates to the clarifiers. If possible, existing feed wells, baffles, and bridges will be reused. The project will be executed in two phases: Phase One is to prepare design to 30% completion and propose a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) cost proposal for Phase Two, including a work schedule showing the sequence and downtime for each clarifier. Phase Two will complete design, construction, and post-construction tasks including performance testing, commissioning, and operator training if the GMP is approved. Proposal teams must attend a mandatory pre-proposal meeting and site visit. Proposals will not be accepted from teams absent from this meeting. Proposers must submit one original hard copy, three additional hard copies, and one USB copy, and packages must reference IFB No. 26-005, Academy Creek WPCF Clarifier Rehabilitation. Email or fax responses are not accepted. All segments of the business community are ensured access, and the owner may reject any or all proposals, accept any proposal, omit any item, and waive technicalities or minor defects in the interest of the owner. Costs incurred by proposers in developing submissions are the proposer's responsibility. Only one clarifier at a time may be offline during construction, and continuous operations must be maintained during construction. The owner prioritizes maintaining existing operations, quality of integration with current infrastructure, minimization of lifecycle cost, achieving the scheduled completion date, and safety. This project is funded by repair and rehabilitation funds with no federal funding.
