The work consists of providing a safe pedestrian route compliant with current Proposed Accessibility Guidelines for Pedestrian Facilities in the public right-of-way (PROWAG) requirements. The project includes approximately 9,800 linear feet of ADA compliant sidewalk in the area bounded by West Florida Avenue between North 111th Avenue to 113th Avenue; West Duluth Avenue, West Elk Avenue, West Montana Avenue between North 111th Avenue to North 114th Avenue; West Pennsylvania Avenue between North 111th Avenue to West Peoria Avenue; and North 115th Avenue between West Montana Avenue to West Peoria Avenue. Work includes installation of sidewalk, curb ramps, reconstruction of non-compliant driveways, and ramps, as well as landscape re-establishment and the removal/relocation of existing features, such as driveways, signs, mailboxes, fire hydrants, and other features required to complete the work, and other incidental work. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes at the designated address by the specified deadline. Each bid is to be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the bid amount. Only bids conforming in all material respects to the Contract Documents will be considered. A Non-Collusion Affidavit must be submitted with the bid. YOUNGTOWN reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informality, or withhold the award for any reason. Minority and women's business enterprises are encouraged to submit bids.
