Renovation of an educational facility in Charleston, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.

A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Replacement of HVAC equipment along with associated controls, and electrical components at 268 Calhoun St., Charleston, SC 29425. CONSTRUCTION COST RANGE: $ 230,000 to $ 330,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Replace HVAC equipment at the building, including a 14 ton VRF system with 6 indoor units, roof mounted supply air ducted DOAU, and an electric room wall mounted split system. Units and associated piping, ductwork, controls and electrical shall be replaced. 2. Provide all ceiling and wall drywall removal and replacement necessary to replace the HVAC systems. 3. Provide a rated shaft for the refrigerant riser which complies with A2L refrigerant codes. 4. Provide all labor, materials, equipment and supervision to construct complete and operable mechanical systems as indicated on the drawings and specified herein. All materials and equipment used shall be new, undamaged and free from any defects. 5. Contractor shall coordinate the operation of temporary conditioning equipment provided by the owner and construction timeline to maintain the buildings existing temperature and humidity setpoints during construction. 6. The contractor is responsible to contact the MUSC Fire and Life Safety Department to request a hot work permit to allow welding, grinding, brazing and other smoke or dust producing activities to prevent accidental activation of existing fire alarm systems. 7. All materials and equipment demolished shall be removed from site and disposed of properly. 8. The contractor shall provide a record that all hazardous materials have been removed, such as refrigerants, by a qualified recovery subcontractor and provide a copy to the owner's Project Manager. 9. Startup of equipment shall be provided by a factory start up agent. Startup documents shall be provided to the owner's Project Manager.
